🥟 August at DIMSUMX: Gong Baths, Dumpling-Making & Celebration

3 Ways to Reconnect This Summer

DIMSUMX NEWSLETTER

Hello Dim Sum Fam!

We’re kicking off summer with something bold, heartfelt, and a little delicious and we’d love for you to be part of it. What’s old, what’s new? Pull up a chair. Let’s catch up.

Here’s what’s inside this issue:

📸 July Recap – A look back at our recent event and the magic we made together
📅 Upcoming Events – What’s cooking this August (spoiler: 3 powerful gatherings!)

🔙 In Case You Missed July…

Last month’s DIMSUMX: AI + Product Building event sold out in just days and reminded us why this community exists.

We gathered product managers, engineers, creatives, strategist, HR leaders, and change-makers over dim sum, conversation, and a real talk session with Chris Liu on building human-first with AI. Yes, you can debug code with Claude or Cursor, but sometimes the best debugging happens over tea, laughter, and shared stories. One of the pieces of advice that Chris gave us really stuck with me; he said, “Start with a PRD. Don’t let the AI drag you into premature coding loops.” Want the full tool list + notes? Follow us on Linkedin and DM us and we will share the notes with you!

Upcoming events…

This August, we’re inviting you into something just as magical!

We’re hosting an entire weekend of reconnection, rest, and radical joy, including a community birthday, a dumpling making + gong bath healing ritual, and an intimate night celebrating Southeast Asian women leaders. Let’s make August unforgettable.

Last month, Beyond Connections, the global networking accelerator by Connected Success, turned ONE! And this moment also marks my own one-year anniversary with BC, a space that has profoundly shaped how I build relationships, grow as a leader, and run DIMSUMX. Read more about my journey here.

🌕 DIMSUMX: Gong Bath + Dumpling Making

🗓️ Saturday, August 16 | 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
📍 Taste of Beauty, LA
🎟️ Reserve your spot

Ready to rest, reset, and reconnect?

This is a 3-hour immersive experience designed to ground your nervous system, nourish your soul, and bring joy to your hands (and taste buds).

🥟 Dumpling Folding – learn from Chef George Guo from Taste of Beauty
🛕 Gong Bath Healing – with Master Wu Wu using the 抄鑼 (Chāo Luó) Chau Gong
🍽️ Shared Meal – enjoy your creations of dumplings in good company

🔔 Why Try the Chāo Luó Gong?

This ceremonial gong isn’t just sound—it’s a vibrational experience:

🌿 Why This Experience Is Unique

You won’t find gong baths quite like this one. This is held inside an enclosed space, allowing the Chāo Luó gong’s vibrations to fill every corner. I’ve experienced it many times personally, and the resonance stays in your body long after the session ends.

Combine that with dumpling folding and community connection… and you’ve got a ritual that heals, grounds, and delights.

📸 Yes, we’ll have photo ops to capture your folds, laughter, and post-gong glow.
This is our first-ever dumpling workshop + sound healing combo, and it’s going to sell out fast.
